I am a web designer and developer with marketing and writing experience who has worked on numerous web projects and sites over the past five + years. My work as a contractor means that I have cross-spectrum of skills ranging from client management to proposal writing, marketing, SEO, graphic design, logo and identity design, web design, cms plug-in development and mysql application development.

 

I most recently worked with Reinvent in Vancouver quickly implementing fully valid, sprite-optimized, cross-browser compliant  css designs as they experimented with new monetization models. I previously worked with them providing usability consulting and redesign services for Vancouver.com.

I also retain a number of clients on a part-time basis and am currently looking to either expand my client list or find part or full-time work with an interesting & dynamic web company.

Assistant Producer
Out On The Slopes produces the Whistler gay & lesbian ski week, the largest annual revenue and attendance event in Whistler BC, with over thirty events and productions occurring in a nine-day period. My responsibilities included marketing and advertising, communications, client service, inter-departmental communications and more. I worked closely with accounting, production and operations to ensure this internationally recognized event continues to flourish.

As Assistant General Manager, I was in charge of human resources, staff and management training, internal culture development and operations. I was involved with Playdium since it’s introduction to British Columbia, opening the facility on time with over 200 staff in six departments, within a very tight time-frame. I created organizational structures to successfully manage staff training and evaluations and daily operations of the facility, consulted with the General manager on the development of corporate culture and negotiated on behalf of Playdium Entertainment Corporation with the Canadian Auto Workers Union, ultimately resulting in decertification.
